My Favorite Drugstore Products

I always feel a little bit of an accomplishment when I discover a drugstore product that’s within my budget and really works well.  As someone with relatively sensitive skin, I find myself spending the extra $$$ for high-end products; so when I can use something from the drugstore it’s always a personal win in my book.

So I’ve put together this list of my current drugstore finds that have the product power of a high end line for a drugstore budget.

1. Garnier Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub with Activated Charcoal

I recently discovered the miracle of activated charcoal & have been obsessing over how well it works.  This scrub leaves my skin feeling soft and polished while cleaning out my pores for flawless skin.  It’s gentle enough to use everyday & doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

2. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm

This balm is the perfect addition to any “no make-up” look.  It’s super moisturizing and gives you just enough color.  It’s available in a ton of shades so you’re bound to find the perfect “my-lips-but-better” color.

3. Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips

Similar to their original pore strips, these are great for reducing the appearance of pores; only with the additional activated charcoal ingredient these really help eliminate blackheads and blemishes.

4.  Garnier Skin Renewal Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller

This anti-dark circle roller is a great quick addition to your morning routine, especially after those late nights working or partying. It has a sheer tint that helps reduce the appearance of dark circles while providing an anti-puff serum.  Plus the cool metal roller-ball applicator gives you a little extra anti-puff help.

5. Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer

This is hands-down my favorite self tanning product.  This moisturizer is a gradual tanner that doesn’t leave your skin dry or orange.  Because it’s a daily moisturizer you don’t have to worry about looking like an ompa-loompa because you’re in complete control.  An added plus is that it has a super subtle sent rather than other products that have super strong chemically smells to them.

6. Almay Smart Shade Lip Butter

Similarly to the Burt’s Bees I mentioned above, this balm is super light weight and gives you a sheer color application.  This balm, however has a much more pigmented color, allowing you to layer it on for a more intense color.  This one’s great because it’s really moisturizing without that sticky residue feeling other tinted balms leave on your lips.

7. Boots No 7 Lash Growth Serum

So this was a product purchase I was a tad bit skeptical about at first considering most other lash serums can make a nice dent in your bank account; but I was delightfully surprised with this serum.  After about 3 weeks of daily applications my lashes were thicker and longer than before.  Definitely a must-have drugstore product that can replace an expensive alternative.

8. It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin

As someone who damages their hair through highlighting and blonde colorings I have always splurged on hair care products.  Now while I am a die-hard Paul Mitchell girl, this is my second favorite leave-in spray.  It’s extremely moisturizing without weighting my hair down which is important for my damaged thin hair.  It’s a bit pricier for a drugstore product, but definitely worth it.

9. Neutrogena Make-Up Removing Wipes

Like I mentioned before, I have pretty sensitive skin so Neutrogena has always been a brand I’ve used.  These wipes are great, especially for those nights when you’re too lazy to wash your face but really need to remove dirt and make-up before bed.  These wipes are powerful but gentle on your skin at the same time.

10. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish

I’m an avid DIY manicurist.  After moving to Paris I taught myself how to perfect my own polish because getting them done costs $$$. This polish is amazing. I’ve worn these polishes for 2 whole weeks without chipping.  & there’s a vast selection of colors to choose from so it’s just like going to the salon minus the price.
