Rachel Susan Webber
I’m Rachel, a twenty-something alumni from the University of California, Davis. I was born and raised in California, but am currently living in Paris, France as a full on expat. I enjoy spending my free time reading, cooking, and taking photos of the places I’ve been; but I really spend a lot of time online shopping.
In the Fall of 2014 I moved to France for a study abroad program and found my niche in Paris. I’ve been living and traveling between California and Paris ever since. I recently relocated back to Paris this September as an English Language Teaching Assistant for my gap year (maybe 2) before going back to school to get my Masters (again with the maybes, life is funny that way). I have a passion for French culture and lifestyle & I hope to one day pursue writing my own novel on my experiences. I also enjoy interior decorating, styling & editorial work in both media and literature and hope to one day work in an industry that can mix together my love of both science & art
About My Parisienne Soul
My Parisienne Soul (MPS) is a lifestyle blog with an emphasis on the combination of American & French aesthetics. When I first moved to Paris, I rediscovered a long-lived childhood passion for all things Fashion & Beauty. Upon returning back home, I continued to feel this void that Paris had left me; so I decided to start this blog as a creative outlet and space to express my own French/American lifestyle. I wanted a space to share my experience living between two countries and cultures & how they’ve shaped my early twenties. My Parisienne Soul incorporates my love for French style with my American upbringing. I came up with the name My Parisienne Soul while trying to explain to friends and family the pull I feel toward the French lifestyle; and especially the draw I feel to move back to Paris. My Parisienne Soul expresses my life of being an American with a French heart.
